Bruce J. Rosen - Biography

I was born in Iron Mountain in 1954 to Sid and Laurel Rosen, who owned and operated a successful tile and linoleum store in downtown Iron Mountain. I graduated from Florence High School in 1972 and attended North West Technical Institute where I studied business administration. I served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1977.

In 1982, I started a business, The Form House, Inc., and continue to operate that business. The business specializes in servicing financial institutions for all printed products and promotional items. It also produces laser printed checks with 24 hour service to many businesses in Iron Mountain and the surrounding region.

I have served on the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Federal Credit Union board of directors, the Pine Grove Country Club board of directors and the Lake States Bankers Association board of directors, where I also served as president.

I have been married to Jackie (Reynolds) Rosen for twenty five years. We have two children, Sid and Danielle. Both are graduates of Iron Mountain High School. Sid has completed his third year at Michigan Tech University where he is majoring in business and marketing with a minor in art. Danielle, who just graduated from IMHS, will be attending the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. She will be studying many art mediums. Danielle intends to do post graduate work and eventually teach at the college level.

I feel fortunate to have lived in this area all of my life. Iron Mountain affords a lifestyle unique to most areas of the United States. We have experienced some very talented and community minded residents throughout our history, who have made this city what it is today, a great place to be.

My candidacy for the Iron Mountain City Council is motivated by my desire to see a far more efficient, responsive, and cost effective local government. I believe the experience of running my business as well as serving on numerous boards can be readily applied and useful in many areas of city government. I feel it is critical to listen to the citizens we represent.

I appreciate your support,

Bruce J. Rosen
